As you may or may not know, almost all religions have some sort of a prime leader who the people worship to. This leader is usually the person who basically began the religion and decided what its beliefs will be based on. Guatama taught a way out of suffering, and he described nirvana as a blissful experience. Gautama and Jesus’ death also compare greatly. When Gautama died he left behind a community of monks and nuns to carry on his message just as Jesus left behind his disciples to spread the good news.
