Introduction
It is 2199 and planet X143B-M is being considered by humans as a planet to colonize. The planet is very similar to Earth with a similar magnetic field, oceans covering 55% and a nitrogen and oxygen rich atmosphere. Geologists conducted several other tests and discovered that these are not the only things that earth has on common with this planet. There are also similarities in plate tectonics.

…showed last 75 words of 538 total…there may be a pattern that emerges much like the Atlantic Ocean floor where the magnetic poles switch. From this information geologists can calculate the rate that the sea floor is spreading. With the information they have now it is hard to tell the direction that the two smaller plates are moving. They could also look at the glaciers and the temperatures because it might be too cold to live there from the glaciers.
