Anselm’s Definition of God
As a philosopher, Anselm is most often remembered for his attempts to prove the existence of God. Anselm presented the popular Ontological Argument. In this argument Anselm declares that God is “that than which no greater can be thought.” Anselm feels that that God exists as the source of all perfection.
Anselm begins by stating that God is the greatest being we can possibly think of. When Anselm says this,

two people see God as the exact samr thing. It would be impossible for God to be everything to everyone.
In conclusion to whether Anselm’s definition of God gives factual evidence of God’s existence, I believe that the only way to believe that God actually exists is by having true faith in him. Although, Anselm gives many probable reasons for God’s existence, most of his reasons are unclear and unconvincing.
