stated in the beginning, manners, grace and social standings were of great concern during the Victorian era. This novel is a great example of all of these things. The point that Austen try’s to make, in my opinion, is that even in the Victorian age rules, regulations and social norms will never withstand true love because it has no barriers and can never be held down in any era in which you live in.
