Unum Corp

Unum Corporation Unum Corporation was a small life insurance company in the1850’s known as Union Mutual. “Finding a better way,” was a philosophy of the original founder and that philosophy had grown to become a deep-rooted value in the company’s development. Unum had reorganized and gone public in the 1980’s, and in the 1990’s was looking for a way to raise the company profile, while staying in line with it’s own values. …showed first 75 words of 725 total…

…showed last 75 words of 725 total…that I think Unum did the right thing in extending a hand to the community. They spent $600,000.00 a year assisting education. That amount of money could have easily gone to a huge mass media campaign, which in turn would have absolutely raised the company’s profile. Yet, in today’s business practice of earning a quick buck and advertising crusades, Unum chose to adhere to it’s traditional values, and to take the higher road.
