US attempts at complete dominance over the Philippines, or the wretched mistreatment of Filipino workers on our own soil. With all of these facts considered "taboo" in contemporary American society, it is quite easy to tell why the relationship between the Philippines and the US is commonly referred to in such a positive light. However, the US dealings in the Philippines are simply another example of overexertion of America's power and the follies of imperialism.
