In the novel “To kill a mockingbird” by Harper Lee The Character Jem Finch is a very brave character. Jem is always sticking up for his little sister even in times that he is scared, he stays strong.
An example of Jem’s bravery is at the very end of the book when Jem and Scout are walking back from the school Halloween pagent in the pitch black. They heard someone following them and Jem

he did right after he had time to think about what he did. So in comparrison he is very brave.
In conclusion I think that Jem Finch’s action’s speak for him. All three occasions that I talked about, Mr. Ewell, Boo, And Ms. Dubose, all show great courage and bravery. Although he was often indeed scared, he managed to overcome those feelings and prevail, which I think is the greatest bravery of all.
