The War of the Worlds

The War of the Worlds was the very first science fiction novel ever written. However, back in 1898 when the book was published the term “science fiction” had not yet been invented, so when H. G. Wells wrote it he had to use very different techniques then those of other writers during this time. In fact these techniques were so different a whole new genre spawned from it, science fiction. The War of the Worlds is and will always be known as a great piece of literature, as H. G.
