of the characters and their feelings, relating these feelings to what caused them is hard. Nevertheless, it is easy to see the correlation between the feelings that are shown in the story and the actions that they cause the characters to take in the novel. Therefore, besides the fact that I found the book boring at times, on the other hand, I feel that it effectively accomplished the mission that Hemmingway intended it to complete.
