The Stranger

By the eve of Revolution, the colonists did not have a strong sense of Identity. In document B by Edmund Burke written in February 3, 1766, he wrote about governing America as if it was a joke. He said that “are gentlemen really serious when they propose this?” talking about the Declaration of Independence. This shows a great sense of unity, because North America stands united and ready to fight anyone who wants to take their liberty ad infintum. Document G also shows some sense of Unity because the South, Middle and the North colonies each contributed donations for the relief of Boston. Overall, the colonists had a strong sense of unity and a moderate sense of identity by the eve of Revolution.
