Any director directing any movie has fundamental goals that they want to achieve. One of these fundamental goals include keeping with the accuracy of the times in which is to be tentatively depicted in the movie. In The Lion in Winter directed by Anthony Harvey, it is a movie that shows King Henry II¡¯s deliberations over his successor in England around the 12th century. Primary sources such as actual recorded speeches from King Henry II, or records of clothing, and people of those times suggest that the movie depicts the time it was supposed to be set in. I personally also had a feel throughout the movie in which scenes were accurately depicted. After all, only an insane family as such would hate each other wholeheartedly and yet stay together.
