The Lady with the Dog, written by Anton Chekhov, is a story about an affair that leads to something more than the two main characters expect it to be. They don’t expect to ever fall in love and are extremely surprised when they do. They go through major changes by the end of the story. In the conclusion the reader finds out that end is only the beginning for Anna and Gurov.
