Achilles and Hector are both great warriors, but Hector is the more heroic. According to Encarta Encyclopedia, heroic means “Nobly or selflessly brave.” Based on this definition, Hector is definitely more heroic than Achilles. Hector is definitely the better warrior than Achilles, and has more of a sense of country pride. Both Hector and Achilles complain too much, but Hector is the more heroic, as he is selflessely noble and gives his life for his country.
