The Hangman and “The Pardoners Tale”

The Hangman and “The Pardoners Tale” are in some ways similar and in some exceptionally different. They are similar in the human trait of selfishness and self-centeredness. In both stories the person or persons are defending their lives for that of another’s. Yet the general stories of the two are entirely different.

be related to each other just as well as they can be compared. They are both a tool of morality and a type of message to point out the wrong in greed, drinking and accountability. Chaucer intrigues me further each time I read additional tale of his. He writes a big story of life lessons and he gives such depth and detail to his work. The Hangman is also a great poem with profound disposition.
