Wang Lung did was giving his uncle Opium. He gave his uncle Opium only to keep peace in his house. He said, “If there were a way that we could keep them here but make them harmless and undesiring what a thing it would be, but there is no such magic as this!” (201)
Wang Lung proved that an honorable man could do dishonorable acts without becoming immoral. He did some dishonorable things, but remained moral.
