Thus, children have been left with no-one inside the family to turn to about abuse or neglect for the past fifty years. Personally, I welcome the meltdown of the Nuclear family and the re-establishment of connections with meddlesome, sometimes annoying extended relations for it is only through this process that child-rearing can perhaps be improved upon.
