The Crucible

In Salem, Massachusetts, in 1692, a fear of witchery grows to the hysteria level. Arthur Miller bases his play entitled The Crucible on these events with John Proctor as the major character. Proctor’s internal and external conflicts cause him pain and grief throughout the play. During the play, Proctor experiences problems with Abigail, Elizabeth, himself, and the community.
