During the mid 1980's, American president Ronald Regan introduced the Strategic Defence Initiative (SDI), which the press quickly shortened to Star Wars. The United States must have known that SDI was not possible, so was it possible that SDI was only meant to be a scare tactic used to bring the Russians to the bargaining table? An interesting though. In conclusion, although SDI was a good idea, it was clearly an idea made before it's time, and because it was released so early, it may never be realized
