Reading most of these passages in my book gave me a better understanding how change eventually comes about, as well as a better appreciation for the courage, contributions, and impact of all these great thinkers upon today’s open society. Change doesn’t come about from the successful implementation of one person’s ideas, but from the sharing, discussion and evolution of many people’s ideas over time.
