Satchmo The top trumpet virtuoso of the early jazz era was without a doubt Louis Armstrong. Many others have put it much more eloquently than I am able to but I feel we all, especially those lovers of the music called Jazz, owe much to this man, not only as a pioneer of Jazz trumpet and vocals, but also as a very genuine human being. He truly remains the 'King of Jazz'.
