Americans perspective, absolutely crazy. But for this man to do it on behalf of a God is, above all, a great and mighty deed. For someone to sacrifice their life for a being they have never meant and probably never “heard” before, that being must have a great influence over that person. And the place that that influence comes from is religion. So essentially that mans life is held in the power of his religion.
