The purpose of this study was to determine the amount of radon in the homes of students and affiliates from St. Mark’s High School, see if the amounts were normal and satisfactory for EPA guidelines, and to note any patterns that occurred. The reason for such a dispersed set of results could be due to a variety of factors including the length of time the tests were left in the homes and the precision taken at home by the students to run the experiment correctly. A seemingly small detail such as sealing the package at the appropriate time and getting it in the mail immediately could drastically affect the results.
