The aspects of my behaviors and physical appearance made it way beyond difficult to blend in within my peer groups from childhood, school years, college years, and even up to today. well-guarded, so I am not setting myself up for any type of negative consequence with my life. I have taught my two older children the same due to then also being of a minority decent.
I am just praying that one day people stop seeing color as negative boundaries and see that each individual is unique in their personalities and not within their skin colors. We do all bleed the same color, don’t we?
