Public and Private Schooling

The difference between public and private schooling is mainly based on three major factors: funding (what are the sources of funding, money for what), provision (who provides the services) and finally, control and regulation (who controls what). The marketisation of education in Singapore has provided its people with choice, greater diversity, competitions and many other various forms of marketing activities. …showed last 75 words of 427 total…question is, “ Is it fair?” Is it fair for parents to look for alternatives means of educating their children if they are not happy with mainstream schools? Is it fair for those who can afford to pay more, to get a better education? And is it fair to make schools compete? I have nothing against competition among schools as personally I find that it serves as a motivation for schools to strive to do better.
