For over 100 years previous laws such as the Gentlemen’s Agreement in 1907 against the Japanese, Chinese Exclusion Act of 1882 & 1904 and several other laws including the Quota Act of 1965 which limited the amount of immigrants allowed in the US, have tried to prevent immigrants of their constitutional rights.
