Poem analysis

The word carbon- tetrachloride means a chemical compound containing four chlorine atoms per molecule. The word tetrachloride is used in the poem “Where I’m From”. It is found in the first stanza, second line. The word tetrachloride supports the theme of family, and how unique a family can be, “I’m from the know-it-alls” (stanza two, line three), and later on she says “I’m from fried corn and strong coffee…” (stanza three, line …showed first 75 words of 420 total…

…showed last 75 words of 420 total…have a close feeling to the poem because maybe some of the words can trigger a memory in the minds of the reader, which adds to the theme of family diversity. The different things she mentions in the poem may trigger a memory because the things she mentions, like “know-it-alls” is universal. Personally, it triggered a memory in me. My brother is a “know-it-all,” and there are many stories that I could tell about him.
