Persuasve Advertisements

INTRODUCTION When it comes to goods and services it seems as if we reside in a country overflowing with persuasive advertisements and diverse choices. This has a lot to do with monopolistic competition. Residents of monopolistically competitive regions find it hard to believe that there are locations where advertisements are almost non existent and choices are limited. A purely competitive system works best in a village or an area with a small population due to the fact that there aren’t as many customers as in a larger, more populated area. I personally prefer a monopolistically competitive society over a purely competitive one. As a consumer I want variety and good quality products even if that means I’m not always paying the lowest price for a good.
