Neanderthals Neanderthals are the neighboring link to human species about a hundred thousand years ago. They have a variety of comparable qualities to humans and fossils authenticate we have evolved from Neanderthals. Neanderthals are human and our closest antecedent. When scientists and anthropologists define what a human is, a Neanderthal easily fits that classification. It obviously means a Neanderthal is a human and we are a result of Neanderthals evolving over time. Biological adaptations may have distorted the appearance of Humans and Neanderthals but that can’t modify the reality that humans evolved from Neanderthals and they are our closest ancestors.
