It has come to my attention that a group of citizens are opposing the use of lottery funds in the public schools of our state. With all due respect, I must ask if these citizens are aware of the fact that our schools rank second lowest in the nation? from the lottery are legal how then should we deprive the state’s schools from the funding that they so desperately need? Georgia has produced many great things, ranging from sodas to presidents. Therefore we need to improve our schools in any way possible to continue this legacy. I urge this institution and the people of this great state to stand up for their rights and defend the use of lottery funds in our schools.
