Later, Lizzie moved into a nice large house in Fall River where she lived a happy as can be until she died on June 1st, 1927. Maybe she didn’t leave this world with a jail sentence, but she did leave us this legendary poem: “Lizzie Borden took an axe, Gave her mother forty whacks. When she saw what she had done, She gave her father forty-one.”
