Delaware Indian Tribe The Delaware Indians or “Lenape Indians” are such a great tribe to research and learn about. There are several reasons for choosing this tribe to study about. The chief reason (no pun intended) is the fact that the Delaware Indian tribe was located in New Jersey. In today’s times, the tribe occupies two small reserves in the Ontario province(Moraviantown and Munsee). They are close to about 10,000 in number at this time and are headquartered in Bartlesville where the tribal government operates service programs.
