Juvenile Crime

Juvenile crime is a term used to describe a criminal offense committed by a child under the age of 18 years old , also referred to as, juvenile delinquency. Some offenses are minor; parental disobedience, shoplifting, and truancy, others are much harsher. Children can have criminal intent at any age; there is no limit. According to Hjelmeland, most kids do not act or look like juvenile delinquents, but when they speak you can tell the difference between bad kids and “straight” kids. (Hjelmeland, 9). People need to support their children, and provide them with strong morals. They also need to provide a positive environment for their children to positively progress, but after a certain age it is no longer the parents responsibility
