When Jourdan condemns his former master, he signifies that he won’t let Colonel abuse his kids, because colonel is not a master anymore. In addition, Jourdan is implying that his former master (Colonel) don’t have the authority of getting a hold on Jourdan’s life, if he ever comes back to plantation.
