Even though I don’t agree with Jonathan Edwards and the overall view of the Puritains when it comes to God, his sermon does do what he sets out to do. His point is very clear. Be good, live a good life, because at any moment God may decide your time is up. And most of all you don’t want to anger an already angry God.
