Anti-semitism and prejudice has always followed Jews. In the folksong “National Brotherhood Week”, Tom Lehrer sings:

We need to know what’s bad and how to prevent it if we want to become better human beings. We need to learn the lessons that Holocaust has to teach us, and we need to remember the Holocaust, even though they are difficult memories.
