I chose for my term paper three extremely different photographers, who lived in the same era, yet they had contrary set of ideas. As I was analyzing which photographers I was going to write my term paper on, I ran into Robert Mapplethorpe. also enjoyed photographing institutionalized people. I think she photographed what she felt closest to and could assimilate more. She was extremely close to Richard Avedon, and people believe that the inspiration for printing 2 1/4 negatives so that the Kodak name on the edges, came from the work of Richard Avedon.
