Gibberelic Acid is one of a number of related plant hormones known collectively as Gibberelins.(fly) They have a similar effect to that of auxins which were the first plant hormones discovered(plant). The two hormones support cell division and elongation. The main distinction between auxins and gibberellins is that gibberellins in no way inhibit growth, despite it’s genotype, being tall or short, the more gibberellin the more lateral growth.(bio)
