One chemical holds the secret of life. It contains the instructions for manufacturing everything from bacteria to a human being with trillions of specialized or genetically altered cells. Even with advantages genetic engineering could give the world today, it’s not worth it in the long run. Our population could diminish greatly because of it or it could greatly increase. So the only practical thing to do right now is to not allow genetic engineering and discover more practical ways of doing things.
