Evening Glow

Museum Assignment While touring the Baltimore Museum of Art one particular piece caught my immediate attention. The painting is entitled “Evening Glow” and was painted in 1972 by Alma Thomas, a renowned African American woman with a lifetime of achievement in painting and teaching art. …showed last 75 words of 746 total…it’s true message. Perhaps it is an abstract representation of a reflecting pond or a brilliant sky. I happen to believe it is a flash of memory for Thomas, a combination of color to symbolize her love of nature. Whatever it’s intention may be, Evening Glow is a masterpiece of shimmering color.
