Attempts by the government to promote more equality end up lessening our freedoms enjoyed. The United States government was created as a republic by our founding fathers who adopted a Bill of Rights in hopes to ensure our natural born freedoms. As stated in the constitution of the United States, “all men are created equal”; in reality are all men essentially created equal? I would have to disagree. All men are only born with equal

agree the United States as a whole needs to strive for a more egalitarian society, and although it may infringe upon some liberties expressed through natural freedoms, I feel it is well worth the price to pay to have a better-balanced society. The government just needs to be careful not to conform to communism and socialism in the process, because it is very difficult to promote equality without violating a persons liberties and civil rights.
