Edgar Allan Poe

For my book report, I decided to do an anthology of Edgar Allen Poe’s writings. I favored this topic because I have read a few of Poe’s short stories before and enjoyed his eerie style of literature. His essays were famous for their sarcasm, wit, and exposure of literary pretension. The literary merits of his writings have been debated since his death, but his works have remained popular and many major American and European writers have professed their artistic debt to him. Poe is an extraordinary writer and I would recommend this topic to anyone who thinks they can withstand his horrifying style of writing.
