The actions that the Reserve Bank of Australia will take in order to achieve the movement in interest rates is by increasing their rates on government bonds, which will force all the financial institutions competing for the money to match the new rate offered by the by the Reserve Bank Of Australia. This therefore will mean that we will see a new Australian interest rate within hours of the Reserve Bank’s decision.
