Dwight D. Eisenhower

Dwight D. Eisenhower, a small town boy who grew up to the be the five-star general of the United States military force and the 34th president was an accomplished man. He was born on October 14, 1890 in Denison, Texas. He died in Walter Reed Army Hospital on March 28, 1969 from a heart attack. Eisenhower was one of 7 kids in his family. What impressed me about Eisenhower was his ability to manage crises which could have lead to nuclear war with the Soviets. "We are going to have peace even if we have to fight for it."
