There are ways to deal with drugs that do not require criminal sanctions. Ways that build upon and strengthen values that founded the republic, ways that allow each citizen to choose a path for pursuit of happiness. If we cherish the ideals of the Enlightenment that inspired 18th century Americans, the answers will come.
