Powers of Persuasion
The ballad, “Sir Patrick Spens”suggests many different things. The resounding themes are the powers of persuasion, the effects of ones own actions, and the impact on the people affected by those in power.

The power of persuasion, and the effects of ones own actions, and the impact on the people affected by those in power. These are examples of how easily corruption can take place, not only of days gone by, but also in today’s world.
