Comparison and Contrast of

Sammy from John Updike’s “A & P” and Sarty from William Faulkner’s “Barn Burning” are two classic examples of human beings putting their foot down and representing what is morally right. …showed last 75 words of 1713 total…A&P has a more comedic tone in which a lot of situations are made light of. However, Barn Burning is on the other side of spectrum. The tone is somber and serious at all times. In conclusion, I think that even though the settings of these two stories were different they both got the point across that one person is capable of making a big difference by standing up for what they believe in.
