Clockwork Orange

Red, the color of heat, anger, blood, floods the screen for the first thirty-two seconds of the film. Time enough for the viewer to really contemplate the effect of the color red. Suddenly, the screen switches to blue, but it doesn’t last nearly as long, maybe a fourth of the time. It is a tease of serenity, comfort, peace of mind. …showed last 75 words of 862 total…even if others look them upon as wrong or bad. This film illustrates this in the way Alex behaved after his mind had been trained against his true beliefs. He had no idea how to act or what to say or do. He could not defend himself. All of this because all we really know is how to be ourselves and if we are trained against that natural instinct, we are no longer and individual.
