Citizen Kane

CITIZEN KANE One of Citizen Kane’s main themes was the idea that childhood is lost. Throughout the entire film, Kane was seen trying to recapture his youth. Of course, everyone’s childhood is lost. You can never go back and change what happened or what you did. I felt Kane was trying to do that. I feel this theme was brought out specifically in many scenes. …showed last 75 words of 259 total…eyes. ! One movie that reminds me of the lost childhood theme is Big, starring Tom Hanks. This is the only similarity I see in the two movies. In the Big, Hanks loses his childhood and wants to go back; I think Kane wants to go back also. My overall reaction to Citizen Kane was favorable.
