Charles Darwin, arguably the best contributor to the field of Biology, and possibly all of science. Charles Robert Darwin was born in Shrewsbury, England on Feb 12, 1809. “Darwin did not amount to much as a child, even for being the son of a successful and wealthy physician. His father told him that “you care for nothing but shooting dogs, and rat-catching and you will be a disgrace to yourself and your family””. (Comptons Interactive Encyclopedia ’97)

remained in their old habitats, where they struggled successfully, crowding them out of existence. In 1881 Darwin became very weak and could no longer work. In 1882 he died all though he never claimed to have proof of evolutionary change had occurred. Recently there has been direct evidence of evolutionary change by an extraordinary amount of evidence gathered from a variety of science fields. Darwin is now buried among the great minds of England in Westminster Abbey.
