One issue that has the entire American society confused and divided is capital punishment. Indeed, capital punishment is certainly a complex debate, and people don’t seem to agree upon a decision about the issue, which is why I think it is such an interesting topic. The fact is capital punishment has existed for a long time, and yet it is still an actual issue. The debate has gotten very heated

their deeds. Each group seems and believes to hold the truth and the right answer about capital punishment. With all these different views and opinions, who indeed has the right answer? In addition to these five books I examined to offer different prospective of the debate, I intend to do some more research in the future by examining more books, some periodicals, journals, and newspapers, because there is obviously more to say about this debate.
